In my last post, I discussed the tapered toe box and why its so problematic. Then it occurred to me you may want a simple way to discern if the shoe you're considering buying makes the grade. Here ya go!
- Take out the sock liner.
- Stand on top of the sock liner.
- Spread your toes and observe whether your foot exceeds the boundary of the sock liner.
- If yes, then you need a wider shoe with a more anatomical forefoot design. If no, then you're likely OK.
